Responsible for: Shading and animation in Blender
This is another project inspired by a tutorial on YouTube by mx2. I was so excited to try it because it gave a really nice and convincing 2D fire look, with nothing but animating texture in the node editor!!! Instead of making a stationary fire, I also decided to push it a little and played around with animating certain texture coordinates to create a blasting fire effect. Once I get the desired look, I can have fun tweaking the colors by adding the hue and saturation node as well as changing the local colors in the color ramp node. Here's the same fire in blue, as well as a quick look of the node setup!
